Uhhh....you're actually missing most of the jumps. I find the Jumping Mouse run at Greer immensely better made and a great place to practice getting some airtime. :drunk:

Ya gotta start somewhere. I think that's the most air I've ever seen you get Mathew, so... good job!

It probably took me 4 years from when I started riding till I had the confidence to hit all those jumps. (it really pissed me off that I kept pussing out).

BTW, if you get a bike with a slacker head-angle and more suss, you will have more confidence. hehehe.. :ninja:

Yeah, I should have added some emoji's to imply I didn't have any intention to come across as condescending. My mistake and I added a few.

I know exactly what you mean by passing out as there was a drop at Greer I wouldn't do for months. Once I finally did it, I was ashamed it took me so long. I still avoid "gap" doubles most of the time.

^^^ Yep, the great thing about that trail is that every A jump has an alternate B line, and some have a third P line. So people like me and my grandson can enjoy the berm flow and B/P jumps, and others can progress from B to A when ready. Although ya gotta stay alert for new changes — I almost ate it hard last weekend catching awkward air on a small jump that appeared unexpectedly, between the two I was anticipating while following Matt and Dale. That got the adrenaline induced laughter going, once I realized I’d survived my one-foot-off-the-pedal landing.

LOL, k2, no offense taken.

Since I spend more time of the full rigid bike, I don't jump that thing more than a foot.

I decided to take the full suspension out lately and have "surprisingly" realized how much fun it is jumping stuff. Ok, I knew, but I was too much of a pussy.

As Dan mentioned there are a few new jumps in places there weren't, so hitting them is now almost necessary. There were a couple that I skipped because I was out by myself.

But in general any gap jump or any of the singles with a "kicker" face that are over a foot tall are what still sketch me out because I'm not confident in my ability to properly land... (I think due to a freak crash a few years ago).

Anyway, I'm progressing, I did hit the double after the first steep section with a short approach and cased hard, by about 2 feet, so not quite feeling that, especially when out solo.

My personal $0.02;
Jumping, (or momentarily detaching from Earth) on 2 wheels always felt un-natural to me. I've always been able to get some amount of air, but never enough to consider it picture worthy or to be truly proud of myself at the end of the day. Then one day (many moons ago) i decided to build a small jump in my back yard and just hit it over, and over, and over and over again, stopping to build up the jump just a tad bigger about every week or so. This actually had good results, but I will tell you the one thing that took my jumping to the next level; DIRTBIKES.
Once you have throttle & brake at your disposal while in the air (to be able to adjust your pitch), that REALLY helps out since you are able to correct your tail heavy or nose heavy launch.
Its funny, I have gotten much better at jumping these days....but only a dirtbike. Now that I am riding mtb's again, I find myself twisting the shit out of the right grip on my bars when I jump and find myself nose heavy in mid air...to no avail.
All is fine when I'm tail heavy, I just tap the rear brake real quick and level out, but nose heavy still kills me.

Pointer; some people subconsciously grab a handfull of brake at the last moment when hitting the ramp (or jump) and this could be causing the bike to nose dive in the air, so try to keep a mental note of your approach, your subconscious reactions when the tires leave the ramp, and lastly what your body position is while in the air...all of these factors greatly affect your pitch in the air, which results in awkward landings and consequently, a serious lack of confidence when jumping.

I've regressed a great deal after each successive set of retained hardware was installed in my body. Also, when I switched a few years back to flats.
So it goes.....

Haven't been there since over a year ago. Looks fun now that the jumps have been rebuilt. What is the legal status of that trail?

No go, unless you want a ticket
