We rode Elfin Forest yesterday.
Wanted a flat ride................

Fred putting air in his tire for the first
time.
Image

Didn’t get pictures of the “first” flat.
Got this picture.

Fixing the second flat.

The trails were in great shape.
Lots of hikers to dodge on the way down.

I learned a few things.

Mike has Fred’s back.
Make sure your tubes have long stems.
Bring a million CO2’s.
Have a threaded end on your pump.
Ride with me, I seem to have everything in my pack.

Great day!
Thanks.

After all that "riding" it was nice to settle in and watch the Chargers beat the Steelers, by of all things a FIELD GOAL.

Sealants are amazing; so many thorns were embedded in my tire, the first tube was distined to fail. That tube later became a tire liner after a precision cut was made to fillet the tube; the second tube was then placed and I was able to finish the ride. "Mike's got my back. Hey Clyde, can I barrow your tube?"
I won't speak on today's ride, 1 valve stem, several CO2 cartridges and 2 oz of Stans.

Ordered a new CO2 inflator after the old one died that day and received it today. Added a 29 spare tube to the pack.

The cut you made indeed was precision, performed with medical grade tools. Thought the liner was wrong in the moment, but now see that you were right.

Doing Equine Incline twice was awesome!

Well, I'll remember who to ride with. It was a pleasure meeting youse guys in the Laguna campground parking lot: you were just finishing, we were just starting' out. We like to ride with the big kitties. I have so much good luck with them in the Lagunas.
