I said I was just taking a cactus photo, and he said “right on” and continued on his way, and waved when we crossed paths again later. I like it like that. |

Not very. There were a few sections where friendly plants (i.e. mustard and grasses, nothing with sticks or thorns) brushed my legs. Lots of flowers alongside the trail. Brrr….I discovered not even a thin beanie will fit under my current helmet. It was beautiful though — just me, the wind, and the meadowlarks singing. Saw NOT EVEN ONE person on the trails. Nice. |

I didn’t take any photos on this morning’s ride, so I stole this one taken by Rick’s son-in-law Jake of his bike. It was drizzly and damp this morning, so with all the overgrowth we had wet legs and feet, and squealing brakes. But fun was still had. Saw hikers but no other bikes.
