Woh. It's been a number of years since I've been truly impressed with meaningful new MTB tech. This looks like a big one (akin to geometry improvements, suspension advancements and dropper posts! oh and Ebikes for the $$$ win.) For a few years running now, we've only seen incremental advancement (or reversion in some cases) in MTB tech, after the bigger gains we experienced for more than a decade prior.

You know how your car's steering wheel likes to return to center? This tech appears to offer that same feeling, plus a lot more - steering feedback! When I can get this feature in the type of bikes I want to ride, I'm in.

I have not researched yet, but based on only the video title, it seem like Canyon may be bringing this to market. (?) If so, two things that seem like easy big wins for them: (1) license the tech so that all bike manufacturers can pay to incorporate it, and (2) make it retrofittable to our current bikes.

If it works the way it should, every manufacturer could buy the licensing for this. Easy money!

Yeah, it will raise pricing (again), but half of you fockers already paid for batteries. :D Wouldn't you pay a bit extra for this?

Hi DirtTreaders!

Hmm…interesting, yes. AMAZING? Possibly. Seems like something you have to try to be convinced. Then we might love it. Or not. This reviewer seemed underwhelmed — it could be another case of MTB engineers offering a solution in search of a problem.

Thanks for posting. Help keep DT alive!

I read that article too. Sounds
like it would work for fast, rough,
rocky sections. Perfect for fast guys
like Shannon.

It may have been a bit of the wine influencing my exuberance last night. Maybe. I will take a step back and put my cup down, and wait to see what others have to say about it before I decide to open up the ol' wallet. But I sure hope it meets my lofty expectation.

As for fast guys, I saw them today. They seemed to range in age from about 13 to 21. I was excluded from that club.

I think this device would not work for me cuz I don’t have a hold of the bars. I set my headset for free floating.

For me, a couple of things stuck out.
1. Shannon must drink expensive wine to be excited about this product
2. What does she have printed on her jersey front at 7:45?
3. Would my bars return to straight when the bike is in the stand in the garage rusting?
4. I'm not riding with my hands off the bars and they are rarely in the straight position so what is it going to do for you?
5. Bike engineers should not be in marketing or sales with their low monotone delivery

I'm sure there's more someone can think about but like in Shark tank :"for those reasons, I'm out"

Pretty cool idea. When they say it connects the front with the rear in a way that did not exist before, that makes sense to me and is intriguing. This is a system integral to a frame since the frame would have to be layered up around the system. Canyon does some really good things and some kind of gimmicky things like the hoverbar. Time will tell if this is a real development or not. And let's not overlook that these guys have those really authoritative German accents!

I won't have to tighten my headset as much; save on bearings.

Looks like yet another steering damper/limiter idea to me.
