Strava Says!

Drives to most common parking area on a Saturday from 3 towns over, parks, unloads, crosses trail closed signs, records ride with actual name on a public social media GPS tracking device and gets ticket....

After doing the same for the past 30 days.

If you are going to be dumb... you pay taxes to Newsom.

Next stupid question Harley?

Ok.
You know me.
Who are you?
I know everyone on this site
and have ridden with them.
I’ve been riding Calavera and the
Vista trails before you were born.

What’s your agenda and who are you?

Didn’t see it myself, but was told by another rider as I was riding down Cannon that there was a F&G truck in the church parking lot. This was around noon.

Our tax dollars at work! Need to look into one of them jobs. Sit in a truck playing on your phone, busting poor old saps, taking in more money for Da man with all the bennies.

The Church is calling the police on people parking in their lot. This has been going on since day 1 of the closure due to Covid-19.

Newsom announced today, he is ramping up State Level Enforcement.

The State level stay at home order has not been lifted. County measures to allow recreation are intended for people who live walking or riding distance from legal recreation areas.

Driving to recreate is not considered essential.

(this post is not an endorsement of these measure but intended to inform people on the current situation)

I rode my 7 speed beach cruiser with my 1.5 year old on the mac-ride and my 4 year old on my trailer-bike from my house and swung down Skyhaven to take a peek into this so-called "illegal" trail system.

I can ride there in less than 1 mile from my house. The City Park known as the Calavera Nature Preserve (not CHER) is in that zone for me personally.

Even if the "great city of carlsbad" (can you hear my sarcasm?) does lift the ban on Calavera, I have no idea how they will enforce the locals only rules.... Skyhaven is not a parking lot, it is a public street. There are multiple access points, the only one that has a "parking area" is the street parking on canon by Sage Creek High School and the tiny 4 car lot at Carlsbad Village Drive and College.

my fear is they lift the ban and the park gets flooded with people driving in from far away again... then they close it back down... I have not ridden in the dirt at Cala since March 18th.
