Since trails are basically closed, I am looking at getting a new bike for the wife as an early b-day present. She's been riding her 160/150mm fulls suss through the streets and it's just a bit overkill.
This bike will be used primarily on the roads, but needs a smidge of capability to handle patches of dirt.
There are a couple of considerations:
* Prefer a complete build
* No drop bars - flat only
* full-Rigid
* Geared - Prefer single ring up front
* Prefer lower stand-over
* Lighter weight is also preferred
* New or used OK, especially if something used has been built with better stuff.
* extra points for 'cool' factor and am slightly biased against the big brands, but that's my issue, not hers. And big brands may have better deals, so definitely will be considered.
* Sales / Good Deals a big plus
