I agree it should have been made out of dirt. I said from the beginning that skateboarders would take over and that pretty much started on day one. I wouldn't want to hear skateboarders all day long either. I hate lawsuits for frivolous issues and the sis silly nonsense...but the guy makes some valid points. All the "lawyer speak" about fearing for his life is embarrassing though. The guy needs to grow a pair.

Google the guy's name and you get a whole list of court cases for various things. This one over a restraining order against him following sexual assault accusation. Sounds like a great guy  http://www.courts.ca.gov/opinions/archive/D068831.PDF

pretty much a repeat of what closed down most of the SD skateparks back in the 70s and 80s. I'm surprised its taken this long for someone to try to shut it down. We wont stand for someone fearing for their life, suffering mental anguish and irreversible physical harm in our gosh dern town

Frankly, I blame the lawyers....

"Kroutik’s suit says he was “brutally attacked by a skateboarder while biking on the pump track.” But he blames the city, not the skateboarder."

ummmm, I hope his lawsuit is thrown out of court.

While I agree dirt would have been better, I spent an entire afternoon there and nothing about the combined use was dangerous. If someone attacked me I would call the cops, get them arrested and press charges. I would not sue the city.
