We had a really fun ride today. My old bike’s cockpit seemed unfamiliar and it really lacked power.

Setting out for a night ride, lights packed away. We lit ‘em up a while later, but one battery died fairly quickly, and the other an hour later. Backup Petzl headlamp was dim too. Didn’t matter, didn’t care. He was unfazed, so we kept riding. It was fun, but I was cold.

(Coincidentally I had ordered a new made in USA light this morning. Shoulda ordered two. The Magicshine lasted ten years. Not bad for thirty bucks.)

Grandpa’s got a brand new grom, just one day old. She’s got a mountain bike in her future for sure!

Miles moved up to his big brother’s bike today. XT beats the heck out of Gripshift, and he picked it up quickly.

Watching the crows fly home at sunset. They do seem to be taking a pretty straight line….
You know the twelve year old has been spending way too much time on video games when he can’t even keep up with his six year old little brother. Marcos is way too big for that 24” bike now, but I’m not getting him a new one because I don’t think he’s interested any more in anything without a real motor. Looks like it’s just me and Miles now, unless I can get Marcos interested in one of my 26” bikes.

He said “I think god made my body just perfect for doing this”.
Not sure where he got that, but I can’t really disagree.
