San Diego VQ Training Ride-23 Nov

This Sunday(the 23rd) I will be doing a VQ training ride. We will be meeting at 1000 Trails on Otay Lakes Rd. at 0700(or earlier if people are up for it). The route will be as follows: Up Otay to the top(the real top), then descending the South side to Alta Cafe, then back up to the top(yes, the real top...again). Then descend to Doghouse Junction and decide what everyone wants to do, go down the Bandit, go straight back down to 1000 Trails, or descend the trails and fireroad that we ride when we do the Bandit from the painted gate. The shortest of the three options above is 28.8 miles with over 7000ft of climbing. I was going to stash some water at the Alta Cafe so we wouldn't have to worry about that. Anyone that's interested let me know. I realize that most folks will not recognize the points of reference, sorry. Hope to see some folks come out. I know there's some more people in SD that are signed up for CC or VQ.

Sorry Zippy...I have already sent out the invite to all my peeps and have a few already committed. I have been wanting to do the "Tour" on my SS and will probably do so soon. And from what I have seen and read, I would definitely be "chasing" you...most likely from very far behind.

enjoy your shore duty while you can, besides I am taking leave the next weekend so I can ride in Phoenix.
