Have you ridden an Air9 by chance? If so, could you compare the two?

Nice set up Chris. Come down and ride with us this Sunday if you can, and put some dirt on it.

I'm doing a short tour of LPQ in the morning.

Just out to the water fall and back frome the ball fields on the east end.

Gotta keep it short so I can get back and get stuff ready for the game.

To bad i did not see this before so i could have met up with you but nice seeing you out there any way, Maybe next time.

Now impression's of first ride.

Wow - All i can say is wow, It handled beyond my expectations. This honestly by far the best/funnest 29er i have owned/ridden.Climbed great, very flickable imo, front end pulls up easy which i think is great, very easy to control on the descents. The only two thing's i plan to change is the bars to something a little wider and adding a ks900 or 950 post.

Oh yea and hopefully my new lowers come in next week so i can put on my front brake as there were a couple times i needed them haha which i also think this bike is awesome with a 120mm fork and all thoughts of lowering to 100 are out.

Hey Carlos,
I will tell you this is by far the best, most fun bike i have built since my Nomad and could not be happier (especially now that i have a front brake haha) - Unfortunately from the rain and just getting my new lower's from RS under warranty (Thanks doug/mike at notb) last week i have only been doing street miles.

And for buying, I bought the frame directly from canfieldbrothers and was $650 shipped. let me know if you want to check it out in person or even meet up some where for a test ride.the only thing i want to do is add a adjustable seat post.

Chris

Congrats on the build! It turned out awesome!

p.s. A little birdie says that one might turn up in my neck of the woods in the form of a Nimble 9.

Thanks  I actually just made some changes which included getting rid of most of the RF stuff and adding truvativ ss noir cranks,30"diety bars,50mm thomson stem and a KS i900r post.

Here is a updated picture also one pulling my son in his trailer last week while camping at lake morena

And congrats on the Nimble 9 i almost built up a emd before finding my YS

As your neighbor I get dibs over EMFC. That thing is sweet

Ok I have to retract this statement. There is no dibs, cause its going to me :ninja:

EMFC, We willl have to settle this like men, cause that thing is BADASS. So take your pick, 1.)chinese downhill 2.) front yard tussle or 3.) a walk off.

We switched bikes yesterday riding in Canaans corner and holy crap I was instantly turned into a goat. I pedaled up stuff sitting on the canfield that I struggle to get up standing on the Chumba.

I was in shock at how easy this rig made just about everything :domo: It is definately going on my christmas list

I think I'll send Chris a deposit now coz it's just about time that thing shows up in the classified ads…
