^^^ Whew! I’m so relieved Kimba. When I saw you had posted in DT Dogs I was afraid Ruby had gone to town for the last time. Hope that’s really far in the future. Jax is a great looking dog DR. The missus & I were just checking into another Canardly, a Catahoula mix puppy at the Humane Society yesterday, but she’s gone already this morning. Cute thang.

I have a bad feeling we'll begin interviewing puppies for a long-term position in the not too distant future. We left Sweet Dee home during our vacation recently while our son doggiesat her. Either the tumor is moving further into her body or she had a stroke. Poor ol' gal is really struggling to maintain balance and is tipping over regularly. But she's still the same old happy clown (and is even happier that her people are back home). Her partial-tooth smiles crack me up. We will just enjoy the time we have left with her; the nature of a dog owner. Too bad parrots aren't dogs.....

I’m not sure I was ready, but now that I got home to find a new puppy, I must say I love him. But what cold-hearted bastard doesn’t love a puppy?! This Is Paterson*, our Lab-mix rescue from Mexico. Size and disposition TBD. Hope he gets along with the cats! He has a curve to his tail that we’re curious to see where it comes from.

* The name is tangentially in keeping with our cat naming convention, who are all poets or writers. Paterson is a movie starring Adam Driver (my wife has a crush on him) as a poet, and references William Carlos Williams, the famous poet from Paterson, NJ.
