This is Zayzay. She's an African mutt that I paid 1 dollar for in Burkina Faso. Then it cost me about $1500 to get her back to the USA a year later.

Here she is when we first got her:

Here she is at age 1 or so:

She's now living large in SD. Life for most of her brothers and sisters isn't so rosy.

Here is one of our old dog, Oso. He died after getting into it with a huge rattler at Calaveras.

Dang! I think about this every time I take by dog hiking around here. Freaks me out. She's already demonstrated that she doesn't have the sense to avoid them.

It sucked big time. Our other dog has now done Rattlesnake Avoidance Training, but it still freaks me out to take him hiking.

This is Mollie. She lived to be 17.

Yes, she looked like a foo-foo Bichon, but she backed down from nothing and nobody, was as determined as they come, and a great friend.

Here's Rhody the Rhodesian Ridgeback. He's 6 months old weighing in at 62lbs and is fun to have around, a great trail dog so far. Can't wait for him to get a little older so we can do longer runs and rides.

My dog was an underground dog fighting champ. He's 18 pounds of pure terror. Here he is on Halloween Saturday. Try not to be afraid:

Heres my dog Ryder. I think hes got some Ridgeback in him, but were not sure what else, possibly boxer...

jonathan_sykes81 you said your ridgeback is 6 months old and 62lbs already??? Holy shit! I think mine is 5 1/2 months and he is no where near that big, maybe 40lbs.

Heres Ryder as a pup!

Image

And here he is at 5 months
