I was about to say "that place looks a lot like Shakespeare's", then I scrolled down.

After a too-damn-hot bike ride followed by babysitting, I am ready for cocktail hour. Whiskey, water, and CBD. Cheers!

Missoula, MT

The beers are ok. A little mild if you like the grapefruity hoppyness of SD IPA’s.
Who cares when it’s 98 deg outside.

BUT…

Get yer ass up here and sample the burnt ends and baked beans at Notorious P.I.G.! Damn good!
Show up early for lunch cause they only cook so much and when it’s gone it’s gone.

I don’t typically drink cocktails, but when Rick texted me a photo of the martini he’d prescribed himself after today’s crash*, I had to make one out of what was on hand. The result is delicious — it’s called a Man o’War, after the horse, not the ship.

*he went badly OTB by the small quarry near Sage Creek HS, bruising, possibly breaking, a rib. he walked painfully out to the HS, while I walked both bikes with him, then turbo’ed back (yeehaw!) to get my 4Runner to pick him up. once back to Skyhaven, there was no denying the recuperative power of beer, chips & dip under the pine tree. after, he just needed help loading up his bike…

Solid choice but not worth buying a six pack.

Whew! I am not up to Urban Yeti’s Mammoth beer tasting capability.

Celebrating the perfect traction this morning, the fine spray of decomposed granite stuck to my bike, and a close call with that reptile.
