Great straight-ahead rock and roll in a very entertaining video. I don't know why, but I expected not to like this.

Shangri-La by the Kinks. Link won't work - find it on your own. You won't be disappointed.

Bumped DMX consistently in the late 90's through the 2000's, and still today. No doubt the single biggest musical influence that kept me focused on getting a small share of that almighty dollar (right or wrong) Grimy and dark. Torment and talent. All time.

R.I.P. Dark Man X.

This is probably too noodly, too mellow, and too long for everyone here except a guy whose initials are Kimba. But how often do you find a harp cover of a Dead song?*

*turns out there are more

But my main motivation is to tell a story about the last time my wife and I got seriously stoned together some years ago. I had some rock & roll cranked up and she said “Could you put on something a little more mellow?”. So I went into the other room to my unorganized collection of hundreds of CD’s and miraculously and immediately found the one I had in mind, and straightaway put it on without saying a word. I didn’t look at her for about ten seconds and when I did we both started laughing so hard tears were running down our cheeks. You know how it is. Anyhow, this is the song by then eighty-year old Lily Laskine and flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal. Hadn’t played it in years and haven't played it since. Not even sure why I bought it.
