How about music related documentaries.

Watched "Echo in the Canyon" a few days ago and was kinda disappointed.

Never really cared for Rush; however, I watched "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage" this evening and was entertained (though a bit long).

Suggestions on others to check out (any genre of music)?

^^^ Yeah, Echo left me wanting more. What it had was good, but it left out so much that it wasn’t representative, more like a limited sampler. Seemed like it was just the folks that Jakob Dylan could get to let him play with them. I’d like to see “Laurel Canyon: A Place in Time”, supposed to be much better.

As for others, some critically-acclaimed ones are Scorsese-directed “The Last Waltz”, Talking Heads “Stop Making Sense”, Dylan “Don’t Look Back”, Neil Young “Heart of Gold”, and Orbison “Black & White Night”. Oh yeah, and “Heartworn Highways” — I just ordered that although I’ve seen it on the internet. Also Chet Baker “Let’s Get Lost”. Probably no need to mention Woodstock or Monterey Pop Festival. Something else I like are the DVD’s of The American Folk Blues Festival, filmed for German TV in the early sixties with much higher quality than anything in the US at the time.

The good shit from this guy, before the disco era made him a joke and crippled rock & roll for a decade or so.

Fun fact: he didn't actually have a pint of jizz pumped out of his tummy.

Heard this on the radio while driving to my LBS. Nice throwback sound...reminds me of the stuff I loved back in high school.

There are some great covers of this since Big Joe Williams first recorded it in 1941 with a nine-string guitar. This is a recent release.

Today is the first day I listened to this song with adult ears. Damn, it's good....
