It looks like I'm in for the Noble shuttle Saturday.

I want to pick up some knee guards before going.

Anyone know if these are okay; Bikebling will get very close on the price.

What other knee guards would you suggest ?

Those are good. I would go try them on. Bike Bling had a few different types last time I was there. Better to just go up there and find what fits your legs best.

^^^ He's right. Best to try 'em on. I ordered some online, carefully measuring by the fit chart, but still had to exchange them. Even then, I've since modified the velcro straps for a better fit. (I bought some Rockgardn white plastic ones that were very comfortable, but switched to 661 Veggie since I decided I wanted some I wouldn't mind wearing most of the time, as opposed to strapping on hard plastic only when expecting to need them. It's the unexpected that usually gets you).
Try searching DT, I know there are threads with lots of recommendations.

edit: Those specific 661 Kyle Strait guards are probably their most popular and that's a great price. Go get 'em!

I have some Dianese knee guards a friend gave me but don't fit. You can try them Saturday and if you like them, keep them.

FWIW, I bought a pair of the 661 Kyle Straits from H&R and am pretty happy with them. A got size large and they fit true to size (my leg above the knee is 41cm), they don't bind too much behind the knee when pedaling and they don't slip.

i got a large too but turns out i needed an extra large. after 4 months of riding they fit now! :bang:

you dont notice you are wearing them untill you stop riding. i crashed on one going really fast and my right knee was the first thing to make contact with the trail. it was fine! i fell hard too!

these things are great i highly recommend them. i got them on hucknroll too.

They are actually 661, size Large. They are pretty burly, wrap around with full knee and shin coverage. No idea what model or how old they are, have light marks from use.

If you don't mind dragging them out there I'll check them out.
I'm thinking I want something a little weight. But I really don't know.

If they work out I'll trade you some beer for them. If I pick up some a BB tomorrow I'll let you know; doubtful I'll have time to get out there though.
