Seems like a great price. 125mm drop, 30.9, at bicycle Warehouse in Encinitas.

Dan, was this the only one on the shelf? I might need to make the drive up there.

Sounds like the Kronolog has some reliability issues, but that price might make it worth the gamble.

Yes, only one, and none at the other BW stores according to sales guy. Call and they will hold it.

Well, now it's down to zero because I just drove up to Enci and bought it. When I called he said they also had one in Temecula.

Early Xmas for me! Thanks Dan!

Make that two left in the company...I have one at the Kearny store. :ninja:

I saw this *elsewhere* but wanted to pass it along. If you haven't met Rico or been to his shop, you should definitely stop by -- it'll be good for you and good for him. He's a stand-up guy who supported the local scene, and it's really too bad that San Diego is losing such a quality bike shop:

After three wonderful years of serving East County San Diego, Seki's Cycles will be closing its doors. Our "Mom & Pop" shop will be closing due personal family obligations that have occurred over the past two weeks. So if it feels like this came out of no where, it did. We want to say a humongous "THANK YOU" & deepest gratitude to all of our supporters over the past three years. It took a special kind of customer to understand and support a family & military owned cycling shop. This is truly the hardest part of closing our doors, your families have become a part of our family! *sniff, sniff* Thank you for choosing our humble bike shop over the past three years. But we know with all the wonderful cycling shops here in San Diego, we know you will be in good hands. We hope you continue to support local SD bike shops.

As we move forward, we are embracing the change at Seki's Cycles. We ask one last favor of all of you, please stop into our shop and HELP US CLEAR OUT OUR INVENTORY!! Save huge on brand new 2014 mountain & road bikes! Everything must go, including bike racks, gym flooring and fixtures (tools not for sale). We will be pricing today, so be patient with us and please stop on in ASAP.

Again, thank you for your patronage and support!

-Rico, Val & Bear
Your Seki's Cycles Family

Now that everyone's going tweener, more deals like this should start showing up.

Here is the Yeti "SuperBike" SB66 carbon that all the testers raved about, on sale at a deep discount, because it has the "wrong" wheel size. A good opportunity for someone who has the money for a great new bike but doesn't feel they must have the latest and greatest. Maybe yesterday's greatest is good enough for them.

^^^ ...and it's out of stock now. Interesting comment below from Yeti prez in a PB interview:

"PB: Earlier this season you ceased production of the SB-66, the same bike that Jared Graves piloted to a third place finish at the 2013 Downhill World Championships. What was the reasoning behind this?

We love the SB-66 and it's the best selling bike we've ever produced. We still sell the bike in international markets and online through Competitive Cyclist. The simple reason we stopped producing the bike is our dealers weren't comfortable stocking a 26" bike when 27.5" is all the craze. We still like 26" wheeled bikes and the SB-66 was one of the best in the category, but ultimately we have to make what our customers want. I can say that most of the Yeti staff still chooses the SB-66 carbon as their ride of choice."

In a back to back blind test ride of 26er vs 27.5 I would bet 90% of mountain bikers would not be able to tell any difference in how they rode.

A decent Bell helmet for $10. I bought one just for a spare for family or friends that forget theirs.

Royal racing is having 40% off their jackets. Put code "coats" in at checkout. I just bought two and the second jacket was basically free!
