This is for a buddy of mine some of you have ridden with (Dave). He wants to bump his old Fuel up a bit, and his wheels aren't disc ready. Not sure how much he wants to spend, but I'm sure it's not very much. Let's go with about 300 bucks for the set.

We'll also be looking for a bracket for his frame. It has the two little holes that are closer together than the IS design. If anybody has one, or a clue where to get it...

Do you mean a brake adapter like this?
http://www.a2zcomponents.com/OLD-web/Adapter/adap01.htm

If you get it locally let me know since I'll need one for my Frankenbike SS.

Performance has the "Loco" wheelsets for $199.00 They are actually the only wheelset by Forte' that I would consider buying, as its actually rims made by Alex, and I believe the hubs are Sun Ringle' hubs. Its a very good price for a wheelset that will last a long time. They aren't an XC light by any means though.

I just bought these. They're $289 a set retail.

BTW I ended up buying a Transition BottleRocket not the Intense 6.6ss. I couldn't justify the difference in frame cost. I'llpost pics when it's done. ANYONE WANNA BUY A GIANT REIGN FRAME?

Nice. Its a rebadged/painted Azonic Outlaw which I believe is the same as the forte loco.
But these transitions look pimp white green and black.

Yes, the front hub is easily convertable between 20ml and QR. The wheelset comes with the conversion kit.

i've got a set of outlaws for my Canfield.

I'd look at Transitions All Mountain Wheelset. If you're looking for Standard QR's
