Not sure how many of you get the emails from SDMBA and many of you may already know this stuff but Cuyamaca State Park trails are open and the closure for Noble Canyon and the BLT stuff ends tomorrow, April 30th The "improved" parking lots will still be closed but you can obviously park on the highway at Sunset or over in the dirt lot of Penny Pines.

I don't think Noble Canyon or Mt Laguna Trails were ever closed. Just trailheads and recreation sites. You can still park in highway pullouts and ride/hike in. I'm sure any gates are closed. The only USFS trails I'm aware of being closed are Cedar Creek Falls and Three Sisters Falls trails.

Same thing in Cuyamaca/Anza Borrego. They are closed to vehicle access but that just means interior roads and trailheads are closed. You can still drive on county/state highways. Park in roadside pullouts and ride in. All the jeep trails in Anza Borrego were closed and barricaded. Signs on each barricade stated biking/hiking are still allowed.

Nope, Noble and BLT were closed from April 10-30. I thought what you did Evan but @pperrelle showed me a notice that said otherwise...and the fine was up to $5000 for riding it. You're right about Cuyamaca though, they were never closed. I wish I knew that previously. Oh well.

So much face palm here...

Per the OP's own source. Noble and Mt Laguna trails were never closed. Only the trail heads.

The trails are only open to people who can access them without driving. Per the STATE mandated stay at home order.

Even after April 30th, that stay at home order is still in place.

Even if the trail head parking lots open on Friday, a Carlsbad or O Side resident still can't drive to them and use them.

Until Newsom removes the Stay at Home order.

Will you get in trouble? Fined? Etc? Who knows. Adults can make their own choices.

It's not looking like Cori will be approving trails and beaches in Carlsbad this friday... She's following Newsom till the end.

6061ALMN...you can feel free to stay inside until Dady Newsom says it's okay for you to come play. I'm just thankful you weren't present at D Day because your ass would still be standing in England.

I already know that the state mandated stay at home order is not enforceable by law enforcement. I've seen the department order from (2) separate police agencies that state that fact.

How should this beef be settled...walk-off, front yard tussle, Chinese downhill, or a throat punch to permanently disrupt someone's breathing ability?

Meanwhile for those interested in riding your bike on the trails of your choosing....BLT/Red Tail/Noble was pretty awesome today. Low 70's, light breeze, very few other riders especially considering the number of cars in Pine Valley. I imagine with the latest news, I'll be back at Calavera next week playing cat & mouse with people driving trucks as I work my way to the private acreage and back.
