A couple of months ago, a small contingent of us did a nice 28 mile ride around Hodges and through part of RSF. A random hiker directed us down a short trail where we would find a private lake, picnic area, bathrooms and camping sites - all for the benefit of RSF association members. Pretty cool I reckon for those that have the means.

As the hiker was describing it, he pointed out a house.. mansion, on the ridge-line opposite us, stating it was owned by Qualcomm co-founder Andrew Viterbi. This guy had gone as far as Google Earthing the property, and counting the solar panels adorning the hillside (around 640 panels give or take), speculating that there was no way the property could consume more than a portion of the power those panels were generating.

At the time I found it a little odd that this fellow knew even that much info, and had gone through the trouble to Google the property. So when I got home later, I promptly did the same. :ninja:

It's a monstrously sized house (26,000 ft.) with a shit-ton of acreage (33,000 acres). I found myself wondering what this place might look like inside and out, as the outdoor images from Google Earth were not that clear. Then I forgot about it until today.

Now I know. It's for sale for the tidy sum of $39M (discounted from $60M in 2015). Can you imagine your property taxes around $500K per year?

The new agent has gone so far as creating a full-production video to promote it (Ironman ripoff). My curiosity has been satisfied....meh. It was a nice area to ride in though. :)

Well, you shouldn't! And honestly, who would want to live in a place like this? What a monumental pain in the ass.
