Hey All, My fork pulsates when I pull the front brake on super tight. Everyone I asked said the rotor is probably warped since there is no other issue when the brakes are not in use. I'm updating pads and rotors this weekend, just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue. The fork holds air and still responds as it should be, just want to be sure I am checking everyting I need to check.
Thx

Sounds to me like your anti-lock brakes are working fine.

I can think of a couple items you could check/do
Before replacing the rotor and pads, try sanding them both lightly to take off the crud and clean the old rotor with Alcohol. Don't grab them with your slimy fingers either. test ride
Check to see if your headset is loose. Turn the wheel to the side, apply the front brake, and push it forward/back to see if you feel play
A good bleed won't hurt before/after
Grab a beer and wait for the shop to call

You should be able to see a warped rotor when you spin the wheel. So if that’s not it and no loose rotor bolts etc., try resetting the caliper mounting bolts. It is kinda simple and basic, but usually works for me. Loosen the bolts just enough so it can slide a little, not too much. Spin the wheel and pull the brake firmly. Hold the brake lever on with one hand and tighten the bolts with the other, then test ride. Might have to try it a couple of times...good luck!

Danno- you're a genius. Some alcohol and new pads ne a bleed and the bike feels brand new. No rotor change so I saved $45..quickly consumed by the alcohol part..hahah 8)
