Haven't been up there in a while. Post up if you want to go. Meet at the bottom parking by 8:00am.

I am thinking about it. Going to check with the grandkids.
Do I need a shuttle van?

Dang Tim, I’m gonna be out of town for your SJT ride again. I sure had fun the last time I went.

Yeah Tom bring the van. So far it’s me and two other friends.

On current forecasts looks like it will be overcast. Should be perfect riding.

Just a heads up. It was raining like a MoFo in the OC today as in hwy 5 at 30MPH slow. Not because of traffic but you couldn't see and the amount of water on the road.

Perfect. San Juan is best after a good rain. Not during.

Good luck getting these at 8. Lower lot was overflowing at 7:20 am this morning. We passed 49 riders and 1 runner going down from Cocktail Rock today. I've been riding there since 1991 and this was the busiest day I've ever seen. Perfect dirt though.

Thanks, it can get crowded there. Hope we can find parking.

See you next time Tom.

For parking we would park up the road on the right just past the ranger station. I don’t know if it’s safe or legal anymore. That was when it was always crowded when the spring was still open and you would only see Boy Scouts on the trail.

So the dirt was perfect, sticky and fast the hole trail. But, it was a little crowded on the second half. Over all a killer ride. 10 people ended up going, mostly first timers. Next time it rains I’m going back.
