The gig...

A 4 pack of riders are headed to camp at Blue Jay Campground. Located next to the trailhead for upper San Jaun, it is a perfect spot to set up camp, ride, and party afterwards. Costs are $20.00 for a single sit, $28.00 for a double site, and each additional vehicle is $5.00.

We plan to leave early Saturday morning, arrive to set up camp (quickly), and launch out to ride. Chiquito or San Jaun are the choices. After the ride, we head back to camp and recover with BBQ and beer. Who knows...possible night ride?

Sunday morning we wake n' break camp, ride what ever trail we did not ride the day before, and head back south to San Diego.

Sound like fun? It would be really cool to see a mob of DT riders camping and blazing the trail together.

Well.. Really wish I could go, sounds awesome! Two of my favorite things; camping & riding, and that trail ain't to bad either.

With it being Halloween, I can't commit to staying the night Saturday. Might (slim chance) be able to meet up and ride Saturday. What did you have in mind, shuttle ride up then down?

Def. gonna have to plan another trip like this it's camping season.

Our plan is to start from the top...shuttle back up. If you (or anyone) just wants to come out for the ride portion, that is great! Come share the flow and good vibe!

Have fun guys, check out Los pinos trail if interested in some thing different. It is one of my favorites, total backcountry with 6,000ft descending. MTB Bill has maps...

Tim, I figured you would want action at this. Like our last run up there, it's gonna be a burn and turn with a night of cool folks, killer food, and quality beers.

Evan, thank you for the tip. I will look at some maps and see how we can manage this trail as an option to the area. 6k of drop never sucks.
