I have now consumed the kool-aid. Thanks Chris (SoCalNomadRider) for a sweet deal.

Here is mine.

2011 El Mariachi

Have since swapped out saddle to WTB Silverado, ditched the XT Brakes 180mm Rotors for Elixir R 160mm and changed the Thomson stem for a Sunline XC.

Tires are also different.....but I change those all the time.

Tired of pretending to be a hard guy -- upgraded from rigid fork to this 100mm air-sprung fork with remote lock out (thanks Bolo). Rode it for the first time today and it made a world of difference. Now I just have to grow some leg muscles.

Nice Ray. How do you like it in comparison to the steel? Also, do you have an EBB for the SS?

Thanks. I like the feel much better. I was flexing the MCR a lot and finally realized how much when I rode my brother's Air 9. It was like running in sand compared to running on grass. So much more power transfer and I'm heavy so the frame feels compliant to me. No EBB or tensioner, the gearing just works out. I'll hit you up for a ride after I log a few miles. I rode yesterday and can feel it in my arms and core.

Is that the bike you rode Wed. at RH, converted to SS?

Yup, just a different front ring and no bash guard.

@ caraboray: Nice clean set-up -- I tried setting mine up with a magic gear, but couldn't quite get the chain tension right despite trying a few different cog sizes, half-links, etc.
