i'm got this refresh project with my canzo and here's the hurdle. the rear triangle mainly the seatstay is anodized black. To have a place strip it will be costly especially for two linkages. Is there a DIY way of stripping the anodizing so that i can have it ready for powdercoating?

I have heard of people using oven cleaner on cranks to remove the anodization. One example of this is the XTR cranks like Jeff Jones makes.

thanks, i heard that as well...mike (1FGrider) did that to his black LX cranks and it turned out pretty awesome. I'll give that a try, i just cant swallow the thought of spending $75 ontop of the powdercoat and the chemical stripping just so i can have my seatstay powdercoated too.

When I was into RC's I would strip anodizing off parts with oven cleaner, then use my dremel to polish them to a brilliant shine.
Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 applications with the oven cleaner, but it does work.
