Okay I'm putt'n out there, I want a new frame. I have thined down my choices, A new Intense Tracer, Santa Cruz Nomad, Pivot Firebird, Turner RFX.

I am, and have been an Intense guy for going on ten years, but I have heard great things about the DW Link bikes, Turner/Pivot.

Also I can't get frames from directly from Intense anymore so I will have to purchase from a LBS. Beyond is near the house (Poway) but their selection is not what it used to be and I have never been a fan of the headset wearing, coolguy attitude in that shop. What about North Of The Border, or Bike Bling any experences with those guys?
Thanks
Goose

Bike Bling is a great shop. I've been there a couple times and have nothing but good things to say. They also carry all the bling you could ever need. Great prices too. The last time I was there they had the new Tracer VP's (frames at least) in stock. They carry Santa Cruz, Chumba and a few others.
You can also check out Soul Cycles in El Cajon. David will take care of you. They carry Intense, Santa Cruz and Giants.

+1 for soul cycles, probably not in your neighborhood, but worth the drive, Dave is a great guy.
The only reason not to go to dave is if your in the market for a Chumba, can't say enough good things about mine, and it's a fraction of the cost of a santacruz
(Remember . . . santa cruz, giant, and special ed are all made in the same factory, by the same chinamen)

North of the Border is now a Turner dealer, and they've been an Intense dealer for quite a while. Go in and talk to Mike and Doug and they will cut you a good deal. When I was in there last weekend, I was talking to a guy who was picking up a brand new Tracer. He said that NBB was the best price around. Plus, Mike is a great mechanic and your bike will definitely be set up right.

North of the Border always gets lots of recommendations, but I haven't been there -- not in my locale. But I've dealt with Both Beyond Bikes and Bike Bling. I definitely recommend checking out Bike Bling.

+1 for Soul Cycles. I have been going there for over a year now and bought my Giant Trance X2 from David. Very knowledgeable and usually has lower prices than other shops around SD. Definitely worth the look!

I like to recommend Pulse sports in Chula Vista, although far from you, but if you see Mike, the owner, he will make you a super hot deal on Turners. Their number is 619-656-5222 and their website is:

pulse-es.com

Don't mention my name as I owe him alot of $$$. ( jusk kidding )

Ali
