Anyone put this on your frame? http://www.ridewrap.ca/products/ Seems to be a good idea and also bring piece of mind for $100, but how much of a pain in the ass is it to install? Really would not look forward to two or more hours of tediousness. Raw dog it, or wrap it up? |

Ride Wrap is one of the newer players to the game overall. Invisiframe probably has 80% of the market nowadays for the pre-cut kits. It isn't difficult per se but patience is required as it's time consuming to "massage" the fit and get all the air bubbles out. Frameskin is a similar product though not as prevalent as it once was. I've tried them all over the years and was very happy with the end result (except Ride Wrap) but I wonder every time why I bother because they test my patience. Back to Ride Wrap....it was a PITA and I didn't like the look, at least on my glossy HD5 so I took off what I had done. I ended up going with the NON-custom wrap by "All Mountain Style" https://www.allmountainstyle.com/collections/frontpage They have pre-cut pieces that go on the standard wear points. It went on in 10 minutes total, is thicker than most kits and has been bullet-proof so far. It was also like $60. It's what I will be using from now on for my bikes. Update: I tore down my 2017 Intense Primer today and it had a custom made graphics kits already installed from the previous owner when I bought it. I took off the kit after 3.5 years of me owning the bikes and I'm AMAZED at how good the frame looks. |
