as in, it took a vacation from holding your butt up when needed? Puked oil out the bottom of your shinny ride? My once trusty KS Integra DX post did and it's not too fun riding with it in the slammed position for the whole ride.

Well, I can say it can be fixed pretty quickly with 15 minutes of your time & $80.00
Mine had a cartridge that was simple to replace and works better than new now thanks to the 20lbs extra air in it. Most people can accomplish this replacement with normal tools. Mine did take a 22MM wrench but being a tool freak I had one to use. If you need to rebuild yours, take 5 minutes out and check out YouTube to see how easy it is.

If I’m going on a long and remote ride I carry one of these in my pack. Only weighs 20g. I was just keeping it on the seatpost, but I missed the lost last inch of drop.

After almost 4 years with my Full Rigid China Carbon bike, I'm adding dropper post, because I've been getting a little more roudie on it.

After a bit of research I found the 9point9 Fall Line, which happens to be onsale. It's mechanism is supposed to be able to lock in the up position in the event of failure.
