During the last bit of yesterdays ride I had issues with my front derailleur. (Yes, I have it and yes, I need it  -I'm a fat old man..)
When I got home I noticed that I lost a screw from the mounting plate and one from the FD. Checked out the Pivot website and found what size I needed. Before I did the "check every bike shop in town trick" I checked out the Marshall's Industrial hardware web site. This place had both sizes of the stainless specialty metric sizes that I needed. Went over there in the morning a purchased 4 of each so I could have spares if needed. Spent a whopping $1.42 for it all!

If you need anything from a bolt/screw/fitting/doodad/clipless shoe glue/etc, they have it all and in stock. Happy hunting and they are located off Miramar road

Yeah that place is gold! Sometimes hard to find the part you need, but they have it if you have time to search!

I walked around for about a minute and asked someone for help (like all the signs asking you to do so which is cool) and he got me the hardware in seconds. It's a hoot seeing all the stuff they have in that store.

I frequent Marshalls a lot. There is no substitute. They have the selection and it comes in good quality too.

I have sworn off going to big-box stores for both fasteners and plumbing fixtures for life. All they have is garbage that looks vaguely like it should work, but is guaranteed to fail when most needed.

By the way, I bent back my derailleur hanger that I stuffed when going off the bent skinny log on that ride. Everything shifts fine now. There were only 5 of us that bailed on Noble to stay up in BLT, and two of us had messed up shifting, and a third was essentially shoe-less. No known mechanicals from the Noble crew. Go figure.

Shoe Goo and a bench vise. But it's probably time for new kicks! :)

I still think those shoes should be reassembled with Velcro. It's a safety release system for those OTB moments!
