Just completed my first tubeless tire install - hope they all go this easy. Mounted a WTB Trail Boss 2.4" on a DT Swiss 442 rim using just a floor pump. Put the tire on dry and aired it right up to 40lbs.; let it sit for about 20 minutes and it held pressure fine; popped the valve core and put in the Stan's, aired it back up, and it looks like it's good to go. I was nervous getting started, but the process couldn't have gone more smoothly. |

One thing I do after installing a tire is to move it around on it's side, banging it lightly on the ground as I turn it and then let it lay there for about 5 mins. Then do the other side. This would like the Stans (or whatever you're using) seep into the bead. Good deal and you'll never go back to tubes. |

You're right about my being stubborn, though - don't know why I resisted as long as I did and regret not getting on them sooner. |
