I just picked up a used frame, It has a Chris King BB30 bottom bracket installed. I don't own a BB30 crankset, I've seen shims that will reduce a 30mm spindle bottom bracket to a GPX or Shimano spindle. Does anyone have any experience, with this matter? I'd prefer not to have to buy a new crankset or a bottom bracket right now if I don't have to.

^^^ Bump...rarely does a request like this go unanswered on DT.

The adapters are available:

Anyone know anything more?

Ok. I did my homework, and here's what I found. Chris King makes bottom bracket conversion kits, that adapts the BB30 to Shimano or GPX spindle diameters, (they are different) 68 or 73 mm BB widths. You can virtually fit any crankset as along as you have the correct conversion kit. The kit costs about 25 bucks.
