I finally finished the build today. Spokes came in on Friday.

I took it out for a spin.

Pros: 1]
The bike climbs up hills like a goat. There is a section of trail that gets too steep for my Nomad, but this bike climbed up it without any problem.
2] The Steel bike looks so beautiful.
3] Steering felt very similar to 26 inch wheels.

Cons:
1] The 27.5 inch wheels are much harder to get off the ground compared to my 26 inch bikes. It may be due to the wheel size, or it may be due to the seat height.
2] It is slower than my Nomad. On a 110 second section of trail, it is 9 seconds slower compared to my nomad. This may also be due to the seat height.
3] Top tube is a little short, feels much shorter than my 2013 nomad carbon. On my size medium nomad, I have the seat all the forward. On the Shan the seat is all the way back.

Final Thoughts:
The bike is about the same weight as my SC Nomad, ~30 lbs. It was harder to get off the ground, and slower out on the trails. On the uphill it was awesome! I think the speed and jumping issues may be due to the dropper post being only 125mm, and the seat not being low enough. The seat height makes me stand up higher while riding downhill. On my nomad I have a 150mm dropper. I noticed on my On One 456 hardtail that the seat height affected jumping and speed tremendously. I'll test the bike out in the coming weeks with the seat all the way down.

Not related video on my nomad.

Looks nice, and good video of the old green monster. Will we be seeing a video of you on the Shan and your sister wheelieing past you on the On One?

can't you just get a longer stem and maybe setback post to lengthen the effective top tube?

what's the stove for?

The longer stem would lengthen the effective top tube length but would have negative effects when it comes to his riding style and him wanting to get the bike off the ground.

Nope, cannot get a longer stem or setback post, as Astreet stated, that it will affect my riding style. The stove is for making some meth, want some? BTW, did you get all of the DLC for Boarderlands 2?

The trail is here in Concord CA called Lime Ridge. Yeah, when you come up, PM me and we can ride. There is another trail by Downiville that is pretty awesome.

ODD I have two videos for you!

I made some changes to the fork and seat height and it had a positive affect on the performance of the bike. With the lowered seat, jumping is much better. With more air and compression, the fork is working better, but I may move up to a 160mm Pike fork.

I road Juaquin Miller Park in Oakland today before work. Here are three pics and two videos.

I just re-purchased it as a "complete" edition on Steam, so I'm going through a replay right now as the mechromancer. I haven't tried the other content yet.

After I finished the game, I downloaded WillowTree and gave my character the best weapons and skills. For some reason I always play as Zero (sniper).

I've done one play through on B2 so far and it was with Zero. Seemed to be the most like Mordecai. I'm allllmost done with the Pre-sequel.
