^^^ Good job. You should cross-post that to the MacGyver thread.

Just bought my first dropper (Rockshox Reverb Stealth) that is on my Pivot Mach 6. I haven't ridden it yet but I'm hoping it's 1/2 as good as everyone claims dropper posts to be.

Everybody is my "riding circle" has a dropper but me and they all spew the gospel that once you have one, you can never go back. One guy argues it's the best MTB invention ever. My issue is they were all early-adopters and have seemingly had nearly every imaginable dropper post incarnation known to mankind and none of them seem to be perfect. At the prices being charged, they should be more reliable than they are.

Are you kidding me? You bought a Mach 6 and haven't ridden it yet? I hope you are out riding it right now...

Well, that is just downright friendly of you Ld00d, and an invitation I shouldn't ignore...

As avidtest and Canaan wisely advised - just get over it. So, I wiped the vag... cried myself to sleep for the last time...
and I am now ready for more DT fun! Besides - surprisingly - I really missed you MTB bums, and making an ass of myself in public. :D
The sport is a better thing than spats and egos... I think we all got a reality-check with the tragic death of that young man, and I'm thinking the bigger picture of shared love for the sport and brotherhood/sisterhood of riders is something, for me, to stay focused on. But the main reason I wanted to log in, was to express my deep thanks to 24v for his new avatar... IMO, it's the best one ever!

I wish safe and fun riding to all!

I had it built up over the rainy 1st weekend of March so when I posted that, I had only had it for (5) days. I rode it for the 1st time on Saturday up in Idyllwild. It was definitely a "shake-down" ride as it was also my first time on something other than a 29er in 3-4 years. It got better as the day went on but I never did really feel the need to drop my seat. Took it back out on Monday to ride the south side of Hodges and it felt like I had been riding it for years. Still never used teh dropper though
