I just bought a pair of Five Ten urban enforsers.

http://shopfiveten.com/P-4047070010051/ ... rcer-(high)-70

They are on sale for $69 (82 after tax, sh). They look like Impact highs, but in suade. Has anyone used\seen these.

A few years ago I had two different versions of the 5-10 high impact. The second pair (which I think was an earlier model that I got on sale) was a lot lighter than the newer one. It may have been suade, even. I really liked both especially the lighter version. I don't know how their design would differ from that of the urban enforcer you just picked up but $70 is a pretty good price.

They are awesome. I swore by these when I had my mtb, and I currently use the desert enforcers for all my outdoor activites.
$82 is a fair price nowadays I think... (I got mine from jenson usa a few years ago for around that same price range)

That's a great price. They have Spitfires on closeout too, but i prefer the Impact / Enforcer type. 5.10 rubber is the best. I see they have upper eyelets on these, which is a partial improvement over nylon loops that the laces saw through.

I have that same pair of shoes right now. Got them at the 5-10 outlet in Redlands. The soles are too flexible for MTB use IMO, I find it very uncomfortable to ride with them even for commuting.

If you guys really want good deals on 5-10s head up to the outlet store. Be aware its only open limited hours but they do have amazing deals sometimes. Like half off prices which are already half off. I'm not on facebook but supposedly thats where you find out when those deals go down.

When I went there I lucked out, got demo pairs of the low impact Karvers and the heinously ugly red/black high impacts for $20/pr. The spitfires were $30 new IIRC.

If you time it right you can stop in there on the way home from SART or Big Bear.
