I bought my DH bike in June of 2012, and I'm already on the 3rd set of brake pads and almost ready for the 4th in just 6 months!
I was ready to change brakes, and the only shop I enter with a smile and leave with a smile got them for me. Mike and Dough at North of the Boarder got me these brakes, and I got the crank from N10sive. I have a few other upgrades going on my bike. These are not from ODD's list of upgrades, but what does HE know about mountain biking!

You will love those brakes. We put them on my 275 and they're tough cookies.

Very nice.. Those should help you jump higher, right?

Now you should start to sell off your old parts so you can buy a new go-pro to make more yellow-thang..

Hope so!

I'm guessing even the brakes you replaced would be a significant upgrade to an old XC/trail bike and its even older rider. But maybe you should try using them less if you want to keep up with the young upstarts.

The secret to being fast on a bike is to know how to use your brakes to go slow.

I'm working on getting a new GoPro, but I don't really have a time table set to when I will be able to buy one. N10sive and I are looking at what we need to make better videos. It's 2013 and we want to put out better quality videos.

Awesome! something must have been up with your old brakes. I bought my bike August 2011 and I've only replaced the rear pads once, front ones are almost due but still ok. Im not crazy fast but you know I like to ride my bike hard.

After thinking about that trade, I think I sure did get the short end of the stick. Haha.

You don't want to know. Don't ever hire N10sive as your sales person, he's no good at negotiating! If hostages were being held, he would let them all die and let the criminals take all the money too!

Yeah, I had Elixer carbons, and these worked well, but I guess I brake all the time. Maybe that's why you ride faster than me!
