Alright, here it is. Rainy season. It took a little longer for it to come upon this year it seems. We sure had a long summer...
Well, I know we had mentioned having a maintenance/build clinic or get-together when the trails would be too wet to ride, and to help reduce any chance of catching cabin-fever. Kimba at one time was generous enough to offer up his garage as the location. If the offer still stands Kimba, that would be awesome. Kimba and his family are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, so thanks man.
Next is which day do you all think we should do this on, Saturday, Sunday....Wednesday?
We all have some kind of wrenching skills and knowledge, we can get the suspensions dialed, finish building those wheels, or even converting from tubed to tubless. Need a headset pressed in, or disc brakes adjusted but don't know how then this could be a great opportunity to learn.
I've ridden with a few that have had some front and rear gearing issues, and it is mostly cable stretch...other than the need to tweek the hanger from the last wreck stuff. But you can find out how easy it is to do trailside repairs instead of cutting your ride short.
Who's interested? and which day do you want to do this on...

Doesn't really matter which ones, but kinda figured it would be pretty wet for the next couple weekends, so which ever. Wed isn't a serious option, just a foolish joke option.
Hmmm....no votes yet...

The offer still stands. Any opportunity to have beer drinking bike riding people invade me casa is welcome, subject of course to the whims of my activity coordinator.

I'll see what day works for her. My vote for now is Saturday afternoon.

Changing my vote to wed the 31st.

Wouldn't be the same without the Sloth and my activity coordinator has reminded me of certain weekend obligations, but new years eve in the late morning and afternoon is wide open.

I'm cool with any location btw, if somebody else wants to. I recognize the "north pole of san diego" aspect of my location. But I do have a bike stand, most bike tools, a healthy appetite for beer, especially that brought over by others, a foosball table, guitars and amplifiers, and a cul de sac to ride around in.

Ho ho ho!

Dang. I'm out of town and I am in some serious need of some maintenance skills. Maybe I need to bribe RHS with quiche, beer and some cake on one of these Wednesdays...

Kimba you are quite awesome. Second time you are hosting such a free for all (well, sort of)...

This wednesday I just might need to do some maintenance on the bike after our ride Dirtmonger, maybe Kimba can join in? I figure riding for any period over an hour will put me at bonk level-II and one or two beers while wrenching after that will put me at sleep level-snoooze...I'm so outta riding shape now...I'm pathetic...woe is me :domo:

You are starting from a high level, though. I think you can cut yourself some slack. Wednesday I am on a pretty slim timeline :-(
Gotta be home around 2 pm. If we hit the trail early there might be some wiggle room. Like riding from 9-11 am?

Andy
