Has anyone put Enduro seals on their Fox fork? The kit comes with an aluminum washer and 2 crush washers. Is one spare?
I did mine a few months back and one of the legs leaked through the bottom. I'm going to use plumbers tape this time on the threads

I have used the Enduro Seals. The aluminum washer as far as i am aware was extra. I only used the seals, and the 2 crush washers and all was sealed fine.

did you use the aluminum washer in some way?

when you take your fork apart, if it had aluminum, use the aluminum; if it had the black plastic crush washers, use those.
the seal kit comes with a both washers in case your fork requires them.

also, I hope you used plenty of slick honey on those blue enduro seals....they have a helluva lot more stiction than the stock Fox brand.
personally, i'll never use enduro seals again....the Fox ones leak every 6 months and you should be replacing them that often anyways (to keep your fork sliding smoothly). think of the dust seals as regular maintenance (oil change, etc.).

Do yourself a favor and get the new SKF seals instead of the Enduro's.

While I can't speak about the Enduro seals personally, I can say that the Fox SKF seals are indeed pretty awesome.

Thanks for the replies. The problem wasn't with the Enduro seals - just the leak at the bottom end.
I redid them and used plumbers (PTF?) tape on the threads along with the aluminium washer on the Talas leg (per Enduro's instructions). Shake down on Cowles and everything looks good so far.
I'll give the SKF's a try next time.

Peace.
