Yesterday I blew up my Reverb.
We are heading to Mammoth next
Friday and I was stressing about getting
it rebuilt by then. Second option was to
go buy a KS seatpost for the trip. No way
I'm gonna ride Mammoth without a dropper
post.
I took it to Bicycle Warehouse in Vista, Greg
called Rock Shox right then and there, they
are sending a new one out 2 day shipping on
their dime.
Awesome service from Rock Shox and Bicycle
Warehouse.
Must be my lucky day

Clyde

Glad someone had a good experience with bike warehouse vistas service. As of late I'm really bummed I bought my bike from them. Just had a major tune up done by them. They told me it was gonna take a week. It took almost 2. It also shifted worse than when I brought it in. Greg also called me to tell me it was done and they hadnt even started working on it. So I brought it back in to get the derailleur adjusted (again). They told me it would be done that day. It wasn't. Took 2 days to adjust the derailleur. Crappiest shop ever in my opinion right now.

Their mechanical knowledge and experience is kinda
scary. They got rid of guys like Tom and hired inexperienced
kids to be mechanics. I don't think I'd let them work on
my bikes. I did have a good experience with my seatpost
and just bought a Superlite for my wife. Both experiences
were good. Maybe they are headed in the right direction.
The other option is Bling, God help us.................

Picked up my post today.
Brand new in box, bleed kit
and all. New post is a little
different, black collar, updated
barb on seat. Seems to work smoother
and faster the previous one.
Thanks again Bike Warehouse and
Rock Shox!

Clyde

ps.
Off to Mammoth :hello:

2 wks?? This is not brain surgery. If the bike was fine when new and started to shift poorly, the cable stretched!! Just turn the barrel adjuster a couple clicks, if it gets worse that means you turned it in the wrong direction, now you turn it four clicks to correct the error and two clicks to the positive. I know the shop promised a tune up but jeez... It's just a bike, if you fuck up then I guess you have to take it in. Alpha bikes in Vista will adjust your gears while you wait, $5.00. The guys at the shop are going " can you believe K2 waited a week for gear adjustment?"
