I just bought a new XT front brake (lever, caliper and disk) for my bike.
Since I run my brakes moto style (front brake right side) I was wondering if there will be any issue with mounting the lever (therefor the resevior) upside down?

Or, does Shimano make a moto style specific front brake set up?

a little late, but why didn't you buy the rear brake and ran the line to the front wheel?

Normally I just switch over the sides, but the new XT has an offset mount so I will need to get the rear lever, but....now how to I get the hose sized?
Is there a bike shop that can cut down the line?

check out this how to trim your line... you can also switch your levers this way too.

Thanks for the link!
I just went ahead and bought new for both f/r.
Now off to the garage to cut to length.

WOW!
That was the best upgrade I've ever done to a Mtb. Of course going from Hayes El Camino's to these would shock just about anyone!

You'll love those brakes. I at first I didn't like them much, I preferred the feel of the CR's I had on my Trance. I quickly completely reversed that opinion.

I can't imagine there's a brake out there that's much better than the XT's

Now all I need to do is find a front tire to match the ability of these brakes!

Hans Dampf's excellent on the front and very, very good on the rear.
