Hi all! Just found this place thanks to that same dramalicious post on the Mtbr forums. I'm excited to see a healthy online community presence for San Diego, was beginning to think it didn't exist!

I'm new to SD (as of the beginning of summer). Rode casually for a couple years back in Minnesota. Things are a bit different here, but I'm getting accustomed to it. Been tooling around Mission Trails on the occasional weekend that I'm free. Once I work up the courage + make time for it, I'm excited to join some group rides and meet some people.

And don't worry, I read the rules for newbies. Four rules is an awful lot to remember, but I'll do what I can. Maybe practice with flashcards.

Welcome, and with reguard to the rules for newbies; The only one that really matters is.... "bring beer, and not the cheep shit". After that its sorta, up to the guy that's leading the ride.

Yes, welcome. I like the flashcards idea. Mountain bikers can have memory problems, but I can't remember if it's due to the head injuries or the beer.
