geeze is it that bad? shop wanted $399.00 before military discount.

as far as what kind of riding i'll be doing, i think that DH and DJ sound like a lot of fun, and i WOULD LOVE to do a lot of those two. buuut realistically it seems like cross country is more readily available and probably what i'll be doing most of the time.

$400 for that bike is that bad. If it was a 2010 ok maybe, if you already bought it, it is what it is. It has pedals and two wheels, so its rideable!

well shit. whats done is done i suppose. this thing is in pretty damn good condition, the shop did a full service on it for me free of charge and changed the brake fluid, and it's a pretty big step up from anything i could have gotten new for the same price.

over payed? maybe so. but consider me satisfied.

Yeah -- good attitude! Get out & ride! Your new sport is a fun one, whether solo, with a buddy or two, or a big group. Check out the Calendar section to join some rides. And welcome to DT.
