Name is Chris and I've been enjoying mtb riding for a while now. I'm no spring chicken but I'm still having fun. I was in a road bike accident 4 weeks ago and survived. Just road rash and bruises, I got lucky. The guy that caused the accident bought me a 2010 stumpy fsr comp 29r.

I've put over 100 miles on my new bike but unfortunately it's at the lbs getting fixed already (howling rear brake with insane frame vibration). So I'm forced to ride my old school 1997 stumpy ground control until Tuesday.

I ride out in Mission trails mostly (close to my home). I want to do noble canyon the correct way. Last time I got lost biking up from Pine Valley.

Welcome to the board. That's a hell of way to get a new bike. I ride MTRP/Spring and Oak Canyons a few times a week. Post up a ride or send me a pm if you'd like some company.

I'm not sure of the name of the ride I do out in mission trails but I'm so addicted to it. It's about a 9.5 mile loop with two main climbs and two fun descents. Maybe its the same trail you do. Hopefully I get my bike back on Tuesday. Thanks for the invite.

I'll bet it is -- there are 4 fun trails out there that can be ridden in either direction (up or down) and when you link them all up in the same ride, it comes out at right around 9.5 miles. Hope to see you out there.

I've been wanting to go to Mission trails for a little while (just moved a little further south so its now the closest trailhead). Which trails are the must rides?

Cowles mountain to Pyles peak. Fortuna mtn. And, that sweet 9.5 mile loop located north of the 52 bridge.

Check out mountainbikebill.com.
