Welcome Liz. Hope the Noble butchery didn't turn you off too much. We are a pretty mellow but tenacious bunch. Different groups with different riding preferences. From shuttle runs to deathmarches we probably offer the whole spectrum. There is also the roadbiker's anonymous group no one talks about.

Liz seemed indeed like she would fit right into DTers, so try not to scare her off too much. This whole site already is such a sausage fest.

Don't worry... I've been mtn biking since college and always with guys, although I was never really the sorority type anyways. Riding with the DHers helps my lacking downhill speed/technical skills, though I will take it personally if I can't whip you on the uphills. :D :D

I dont know if I missed it but what are the 3 black bikes?

Actually, now it's 2 black bikes, but I used to have 3. Upgraded my first Rocky Mountain Element to the Team Element which is red/white. Still has the old black SID fork though.

#2: My Cervelo road bike, Dura Ace kit, Kysirium wheels, all carbon. Size 51', so it weighs like 15 lbs. soaking wet.
#3: Fetish Ankh frame, used to be a cyclocross bike, just morphed it into a single speed, Winwood rigid fork, Reynolds wheelset, old Ultegra crank, Easton risers and a rad pink plaid saddle. Thinking about adding some handlebar streamers for some more flair.

Get a road bike and I'll let you ride with me too, but all that gear would cut down on the areodynamics so never mind.

Darth Monger on a road bike at Starbucks in Lycra. Not a purdy site.

I recently saw someone my size ride a roadbike out at Elfin (actually, probably a bit bigger). You couldn't even see the saddle any more. Like a dude on a stick. That isn't going to happen, like, ever.
