Hey Everyone, I have no clue how I found this website but I'm glad I did. My name is Steve and I've been mountain biking here in San Diego since 1989 (before there was a freeway in Mission Trails and the "Pit" was the place to ride in the Southbay). Took about 7 years off due to marriage, kids, career, mortgage but have been back riding now for a little over a year. I ride mainly cross country and am looking forward to joining in on some rides

The "pit" was at the end of Palm Ave. and 805. I believe it's a shopping Mall now. It was an area that was mainly used by off road vehicles although mountain biking there was a blast. That was in the day before full suspension. I can't imagine what it would be like going there on my current bike.
