Just wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone. New to the forums here but not to the area.

The names Troy & I live up in Escondido. I ride mostly dh and I think shuttle accessed riding is the best thing since sliced bread... hell, it's better than sliced bread! I'm 31 and have only been 'back' on a bike coming up on two years now. Did a bit of casual riding back in the early 90's and just fell out of it with work and such. Blew out my knee a couple years back and started riding again in May of '08, initially just as a way to help rehab the knee. A good buddy of mine introduced me to the new modern era of full suspension rides and bombing downhills and I've just been trying to go faster or bigger ever since. Wound up blowing out the knee again last year so it's been a bit of a tough year not making much progress after starting out strong but it's healed up now and things are starting to come together again. I'm fat and I'm far slower than most of the young rippers out there but I enjoy the shit out of riding my bike and that's all that really matters in my book! Cheers!

Wow similar story, blown knee at 30 (ACL reconstruction), biking for rehab, getting into down hill only now I'm 40. Trying to stay away from a second blow out, ouch.

We will be riding together soon. Can't say enough how great the people on this site are.
