Hello everyone, I bought a GT Sanction off Craigslist recently. I'm 30 and thought I was in good shape until last week when i could not make it up the paved hill at the start of the Daily Ranch. I can hit the elliptical, spar a few rounds and jump rope but suck ass on the bike.

The golf course directly behind my house recently closed down with plans to build houses on the now vacant dead greens so I am having a blast ridding it at night. I want to buy a light attachment and a pump for my shock next.

Welcome from barrio Vista. Are you talking about the Escondido Country Club? Pretty cool if you can just ride from home to a place like Daley. But we don't wanna hear about you not making it up the paved hill. Turn right at the entrance, and then tell us about not making it up the dirt hill!

Yes, the Escondido country club. The new owners closed it down last month and want to build track homes on it now, this would suck for me and my neighbors most of whom are retired. The Daley Ranch is across town so its to far to ride from home for me but I did ride down that dirt hill at the beginning/end and my ass was puckered the entire way.. lots of people with kids and dogs hiking and I was nervous about hitting someone.

:welcome: Sounds like you did the route backwards. A group is riding out there tomorrow, easy pace, check it out. Take some beer or they'll talk about you like a dog; if they know you didn't bring beer before you start, they'll treat you like one. Where is that rule???
