Hi all,
I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks, while I researched and tested several used bikes - the Pugsley really caught my eye, as it seemed like it would be a lot of fun, so I bought one. Picked up the "Black Ops" version last night at Adams Avenue Bikes, and went for a nice ride this morning in Rose Canyon...took a couple of hours at work before the smile came off my face!

I'm looking to improve my skills and join others, especially Pugsley owners, in enjoying this sport. I understand the New Guy Rules, and plan to focus on "Lake Hodges, Daley Ranch, Calavera, and La Costa, in that order...", per OldDogDan's guidance to another noob.

Hope to see you guys on the trails, and have a nice holiday!

Welcome Drew! Fun bike. I think my guidance was for a noob in North County, which is where all those trails are located. So a bit of a drive for you, but hope to see you up here.

Closer to you and noob-friendly could be MTRP, Penasquitos Canyon, Sycamore Canyon, the San Diego city canyons (aka tri-canyons), Balboa, UCSD...

Some more southerly DT's might advise you more knowledgeably. be sure to check out http://www.mountainbikebill.com/

We normally ride Penasquitos canyon during the week, around 5:30PM, if you are free during that time maybe I can show you around the fun trails at Penasquitos.

If you guys decide to ride Tuesday, I might be able to join you.
I have wanted to see a Pugs in person and ride alongside of one for awhile now.

Anytime after 430 pm works for me. I will have to bail at about 7 to get home and tuck my kids in though.
Canyon side park off black mountain road trends to be a great meeting spot for group rides in pq canyon. Lets meet at the western most ball field parking lot by the trail head. Does that work?

Excellent, let's plan for 5:30 in case abzillah can join us. And I'll get there early so you can check out the Pugsley, and take it for a spin. And I'll bring (root) beer, too!

OK, just sent you a PM with my info... :)

And to confirm, you are suggesting we meet at "Canyonside Community Park, 12350 Black Mountain Road, San Diego, California 92129" ? (I'm horrible with directions, I gotta have an address my GPS will recognize...)
