Bike(s): SC Nomad
Favorite Trails: Calavera
I just picked up a Santa Cruz Nomad last month and have been having a blast on the trails around me even though I have a cast on my hand cause I broke my pinky metacarpal 7 weeks ago.

Here is me going over the handle bars this week at very low speed:
http://contour.com/stories/carlsbad-calavera

I tried a helmet mount 2 days ago but had it aimed too low so that's the only video I have right now. Fixed it yesterday so hoping to try again soon. But they put a wire fence up in the middle of that hill so no trying for 35+mph down it anytime soon.

I have no car or full time work so biking is kind of my life right now, hah. It would be nice to go on some rides with local people. Hope to learn more and get involved in the SD MTB scene/culture.

I live less then a mile from the Nordahl sprinter station so I've only done discovery/double peak, elfin forest, and calavera. So far Calavera is my favorite cause it's not as much climbing which is harder for me right now.

Welcome

You're in my neck of the woods. PM me if you wanna ride any of the local trails. You'd like Daley Ranch as well. There's some climbing, but there's no shame in walking

I'm down. I hike and bike all the time currently. I like to keep my pulse up though. Plus just completing a good trail is it's own reward. Always trying to improve that cardio any chance I get. I'm up within up 30min of the sun every day usually too if that's a factor.
