back riding thanks to a great craigs list buy. older bike but it works. was actually looking for parts, a fork, but it was more work to part the bike than just change the tires. HA! anyway, came across this site in regards to a flag that was stolen/ taken down. i did lots of riding in the 80's, 90's. whiting ranch was all that was out there. that whole shopping center was just a lot. almost ran over a bobcat twice, not intentionally, but when you round a corner on single track.... crazy to see those things go from zero to 30 mph then do a 90 degree turn ona dime.... also was in a group that did a friday night night ride in what is now newport coast. no toll road, the tustin marine base was still active as well. to watch the planes doing loops was great. anyway, back in the saddle and figuring out what my new ride will be. have to pull the trigger soon, up in the air on 29ers , fs, hardtail.

Welcome to DT. We ride all over, but most members are from San Diego County. Hope you can make it down south for some rides. There are plenty of opinions on here about 29ers, FS vs hardtail etc.; but you know what they say about opinions...
