Hi everyone
My Name is Jack and I used to be a Lurker.

I thought It might just be easier to join and ask questions rather than spend an hour searching through multiple forums looking for an answer that may or may not have even been asked. My current ride is a BMC Speedfox and Id say my skill level is pretty low. You can find me cruising from OB to Downtown for work or if its a Tuesday or Wednsday im probaby trying to escape the house to spend some time on the trails.

Heres the Ride.

A tour would be fantastic, Im not from California.
So far my rides consist of Rose Canyon,Mission Trails and Lake Hodges. I feel like I was on the shitty part of mission trails,Ive seen some great looking areas in pictures none of which I found.Rose Canyon was a lot of fun but was the first place I rode and ended up hike a biking my way out, up what felt like Mount Everrest. Lake Hodges so far has been my favorite place to ride, Tuesday I finished my longest ride to date(30 miles according to gps).Started at the Sunset Drive entrance and ended up in Rancho Santa Fe before running out of trail and turning back around. However I had a bad taste in my mouth after some guy tried to rip my face off and I assume wanted to steal my bike. I might start another thread about that,im interested in helpful gear to carry that could possibly be used as a bludgeoning tool.

Its a bern watts helmet. It worked great while I was commuting to work via my DC PK ripper single speed. Not so much in the middle of the desert with the sun beating down on you. I wear a 661 recon now and my whole body thanks me.
